  • WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

They have everything like the old Drug Stores use to have. The have a full pharmacy for all your prescriptions. And down stairs they have a full room of nice toys and books for purchase. There is a extremely large selection of cards to choose from. And the other side a large selection of nice household decorations. Read More

  • WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

I've been going to this pharmacy for years and I love it. Everyone who works here is so nice. The pharmacists are good about going over information about the medication if you ask. They always fill prescriptions quickly. The lower level has a terrific selection of greeting cards and gifts. Read More

  • WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

I love this place! My coworker brought me here once. It is a regular pharmacy but they have a whole section of greeting cards, home decor and a kids toy section. Very unique store. Lots to look at. Staff is friendly. Would definitely come back. Great place to come for nice unique gifts for anyone any time of the year. Read More

  • WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

This is a local neighborhood pharmacy and can be hard to find unless you are familiar with the Pavilions shopping center. It is next to Pacific Whey Cafe and is so charming. As a young girl I worked at a local neighborhood pharmacy and drug store. They are the best because you have a connection with your pharmacist and they are generally filled with lots of goodies for the eyes to see. I have been in this store so many times for small gifts, their candle selection is great, decorative housewares, small children's toys, jewelry items, scarfs, bath soaps, and stationary... Read More

  • WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

Not like any pharmacy I have ever been to. It contains all the usual items, but in a general store atmosphere. The set up is very cute and its a good place to go for gifts. They also have home goods set up in a manner similar to a high end interiors store and a top notch selection for Easter. Kids toys, games, candles, cards, etc... Very cool place. If you are looking for something different in the area and don't want to venture to Fashion Island, then check it out. Read More

  • WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

Needed to Pop in off the beach for a few quick run of the mill pharmacy items while in Laguna   I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful everyone was and how nicely kept up the place is. The prices were cheaper than other places in the area (gas station, whole foods, etc) and I left feeling good about my shopping experience. Read More

About Quality Drug Stores

About Us

Quality Drug was formed in 1996 by Fritz Duda of Fritz Duda Company and Roger Stangeland, Retired Chairman of the Board and CEO of The Vons Companies, Inc. The motivation for the creation of Quality Drug was to meet the needs of consumers in a targeted area by providing a community oriented independent drug store.

In 2004 Quality Drug Corporation launched it’s 2nd store, Laguna Drug, located in Laguna Beach.

In 2006 Quality Drug Corporation opened it’s 3rd location, Coast Hills Pharmacy, in the Newport Hills Shopping Center in Newport Beach.

All three stores operate under Quality Drug.

All three stores are owned and operated by Dave and Cyndi (Stangeland) Olsen.

Quality Drug's Mission Statement is as follows:

We will operate our stores so you will enjoy a shopping experience that consistently exceeds your expectations. We are local-market focused stores positioned to give our  discriminating shoppers a clear alternative to chain drug stores. We are uncompromisingly committed to retailing excellence everyday, in every way, in every department and with every service.

Quality Drug Statement of Philosophy

We know that the members of our store “team” are the key to our success, and as such, we challenge all of our employees to demonstrate the following four fundamental values of operating a business:

1. Work with passion, commitment, and enthusiasm

2. Treat people with respect and be courageously forthright

3. Make a commitment to deliver on your promises

We are committed to excel in operating the finest community-oriented drug stores. We will always be committed to exceeding our customers expectations with sincere, friendly service and clean, well-stocked stores.

We will respect the relationship between the pharmacist, patient and the doctor with the utmost confidentiality.

We will be honest and ethical at all times.

We will consider our employees a fundamental part of the success of our business and will provide them with every opportunity to succeed.

We will respect our suppliers and work with them for our mutual success.
